Good day to you from Brad and Jennifer Gilkison, co-youth group leaders
at Trinity ARP Church in Tampa, FL! We would like to take this
opportunity to introduce ourselves as well as to invite you to join us on Wednesday
evenings. I, Brad, am a Tampa native and grew up at Trinity ARP. I
currently serve as an Elder in the church and as co-youth group leader
with my wife of 17 1/2 years, Jennifer (Jen), as well as with our good
friend and fellow Trinity ARP member, Mr. Josh Borders. I have worked in the
field of radio broadcasting for 23 years and currently work with the
format of sports and news talk. I am an avid golfer and, if time permits,
fisherman. I grew up in the Trinity youth group and was able to take a
lot of what I learned about the Bible in youth group and apply it to my
life and to the issues I faced as a teenager. Those very lessons helped me
as I faced difficult decisions as a teen and young adult. I had fun during
those youth group years but the biblical foundation I received was and
continues to be invaluable.

Hi! This is Jen. I am also a Tampa native but lived in Kentucky during my high school years. Although my degree is in English Literature (USF), I work in the field of insurance and have for 17 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and being at home, reading, scrapbooking, tossing the ball with my two Labrador Retrievers and
trying my hand at growing roses. I've been a member of Trinity ARP for 15
years and although I've always looked to our Father for guidance, instruction
and to thank Him (I was raised Roman Catholic), I didn't have a personal
relationship with Christ until that day I entered the doors of Trinity.
Sitting in the pew with my father-in-law and mother-in-law, God spoke
to me and I heard Him and I was saved that very day. Okay, it's both of us
again. We've been working with the youth now for 3 1/2 years. What a
great group of kids we have been blessed to work with at Trinity. It's
very exciting to watch them challenge themselves, mature and
grow closer to our Lord every week. It's a humbling experience at
times but we certainly consider it an honor to serve God and our church in
this capacity. Won't you come join us? The doors are open! :-)

If you are not currently a member of the Trinity ARP Youth Group, we
would love to have you join us. We are a fun, Christ-loving group of kids,
ages 13-18, who strive to glorify God in all we do. We meet every
Wednesday throughout the schoolyear from 6:30-9:00 p.m. We have dinner together
from 6:30-7:00 p.m., recreation time from 7:00-7:45 p.m., praise & worship
from 7:50-8:10 p.m., lesson and prayer requests from 8:10-9:00 p.m. The
lessons are taken from the Bible and are applied to the issues teens face
today.

Each summer, we attend camps and mission trips. If you are interested
in learning more about the Trinity Youth Group, please contact Pastor Jac
Coad at (813) 961-5836 or leave a message for Brad and Jennifer Gilkison at
the same number. We're looking forward to meeting you!

May 24th - Last youth group meeting before summer break. We will resume in
mid-August.

Check this site frequently or the church bulletin for exact dates and updated information.

Camps - Middle School will be attending Quest at Bonclarken the week of
June 19th-24th. Junior and Senior high will be attending the
Appalachia Mission Trip the week of July 1st-8th. Please pray for the safety of
our kids and chaperones as they travel from Tampa to North Carolina and
Tennessee. Pray they would bring the gospel message to those whom they
are serving and that, in turn, they would be challenged to learn and grow
spiritually and would return with a renewed excitement for living their
lives for Christ.

During the summer break, the youth will have several "field trips" such
as bowling night, pizza night at The Mellow Mushroom in Citrus Park, movie
night, etc. Brad and Jen will contact the youth members prior to each
event. If you are not currently a member of the Trinity ARP youth
group but would like to join us on one of these "field trips", please contact
the church to let us know you are interested in joining us.
