Ministry and Outreach programs of Trinity:
Book Club
This is a new fellowship/outreach program started in July
2006. The group’s first book selection is Captivating,
Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul by John &
Stasi Eldredge. The women meet in each other’s homes
every other Thursday for discussion of the chapters read
and for fellowship. Hot tea and light desserts are served.
Travel Club
This group meets once a month (Friday morning) in the fellowship
hall to explore our world together via documentaries, films,
speakers and road trips. A light lunch is served. Travel
Club is meant to build friendships as well as to educate.
Wednesday Evening Seminars
Wednesday evening seminars meet weekly with a break during
the summer months. Seminars have included: 1) Raising children
God’s way, 2) financial seminars, 3) importance of
prayer and emphasis on prayer. Each seminar lasts approximately
6 weeks and has served as a wonderful outreach to our local
community.
Mother/Daughter Luncheon
The Women’s Ministries at Trinity hosts a Mother/Daughter
luncheon each year. This is a very successful event. The
women invite mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, etc.
to enjoy a fun-filled 2 hours of fellowship at a local restaurant.
This is a very feminine event and special attention is paid
to the details of the menu, favors and games to go along
with the selected theme.
Christmas Tea
This will be a new event for the women of Trinity and we
are looking forward to it this December. Members will host
tables and set them using their own china and linen. Each
hostess will invite 8 women of her choice for a special
afternoon Christmas tea. The Christmas story will be read
and Christmas hymns will be sung. The youth will serve the
meal. This event will serve as a time of fellowship as well
as an outreach program.
Naomi/Kennedy Circle and Women’s Fellowship
Circle
Our Women’s Ministries circles meet once a month throughout
the year with a break during the summer months. The Naomi/Kennedy
circle meets in the morning and the Women’s Fellowship
circle meets in the evening. Each meeting consists of the
monthly Bible study (Jeremiah was our book of study this
past year), discussion of old and new business followed
by a time of fellowship over coffee and light desserts.
The Women’s Fellowship circle will be meeting each
month in each other’s homes this year (we previously
met at the church) with the emphasis being on getting to
know one another better and building friendships over coffee/tea
in the comfort our homes or through outings such as going
to a movie, etc. The Bible study will still occur but in
smaller group settings in our homes. We will have a quarterly
business meeting rather than a monthly business meeting.
Again, this focus is on deepening relationships.
Youth group, Saltshakers
and Adventurers
We have programs for all ages of children. The Adventurers
is for our younger children up to age 13. This group meets
each Wednesday evening for dinner, recreation and a Bible
lesson. The youth group also meets every Wednesday for dinner,
recreation and Bible lesson. The Saltshakers is for the
college and career group and they meet weekly for fellowship
and to study a selected book. The youth group attend summer
camp (ie: Bonclarken, Appalachia) and get together for bowling,
pizza nights and concerts. In addition to their weekly meetings,
the Adventurers also attend movies as a group and camp once
or twice each year. All groups are co-ed.
Metropolitan Ministries
Trinity members bring donated items to the church to be
delivered to Metropolitan Ministries. This is a much appreciated
ministry to the community.
A Woman’s Place Ministry
Trinity supports A Woman’s Place Ministry by filling
baby bottles with change between Mother’s Day and
Father’s Day, donating items such as diapers, baby
clothes, gift certificates/cards, books, and by volunteer
counseling to the women/men in need of these services.
Helping Hand Fund
A fund collected by the Deacons of Trinity which is used
to help families in time of need.
Infant Bibles
The Trinity Women’s Ministries presents each infant
with their very own Bible.
Ken Cave Picnic
This is an annual, family picnic honoring the memory of
Rev. Ken Cave. This is an all day event with lots of food,
fun, games, fellowship, Bible study and speakers. Members
are encouraged to bring friends, family and/or neighbors.
Fall Festival
This event occurs on the church property and is an outreach
event to the local community. There is no cost to attend
and our neighbors can enjoy hay rides, bouncy castles, children’s
games, face painting, pumpkin carving and a delicious lunch.
This is always a well attended event.
Friend Day
This is a special Sunday where the members of Trinity get
to invite a friend to attend worship service and Sunday
school with them.
Journey to Jerusalem
This is similar to Fall Festival but is held in the spring.

spring and it was a wonderful outreach to the community.
The children present a skit explaining the resurrection.

of charge.
